Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd, the subsidiary of CIL operating in Odisha, is projected to commission its Hingula coal washery by Dec’20.
The non-coking coal washery with a designed capacity of 10 MnT per annum, would yield washed coal with ash content not exceeding 34%.
Earlier in Feb’19, MCL had assigned the job of setting up the Hingula washery to Jhar Mining Infra, after it had emerged as the lowest bidder in the e-tender process.
MCL has invited interested customers having their end use plant located beyond 500 km from the mines, to intimate their willingness to source washed coal from the Hingula washery as and when it becomes operational.
The company said pricing and other modalities related to the supply of washed coal would be intimated in due course.
MCL has also concluded the tender process for setting up its 10 MnT per annum capacity Jagannath coal washery, with the job being assigned to Global coal and mining Ltd.
