Imported offers of Manganese ore to Indian market moved up by few cents primarily due to port congestions at South African ports and improved demand from Chinese buyers.
“Prices for the Manganese Ore were up due to demand from China, however, now the demand seem to be slowing down a bit and the big miners have not yet opened the prices for the June shipment.
International prices from big suppliers are currently quoting at around USD 5.90-6/DMTU for grades 44% and above, for 36-37% Mn South African Carbonated Ore, the prices are around 5.45/DMTU CIF Indian main Ports. For grades lower than 36%, its not being offered by the big miners.” said an importer based in Eastern region of India.
In similar lines , a ferro alloy producer have confirmed a deal of 44% Mn South African manganese ore at around USD 5.9/DMTU CIF Indian east coast.
In Indian domestic market miners have hold their offers since MOIL raised its prices by 9-10%.
