Indian state-owned trading company MSTC Ltd which had begun electronic auction sales of minehead stocks of manganese ore available with Karnataka miner Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores (SMIORE), has fetched bids at similar levels for its 5400 tonnes of manganese ore of grade 30-38 Mn.
The floor price for ore cargoes containing 36-68% Mn and Fe content upo 18% had been set at Rupee 8,000/mt ($148/mt), which had managed to fetch bids at Rs 8300-8500/mt (Excluding Royalty and FDT)
The floor price for ore cargoes containing 32-30% Mn and Fe content upto 24% had been set at Rupee 5,000/mt ($92/mt), which had managed to fetch bids at Rs 6000-7000/mt (Excluding Royalty and FDT).
Earlier this month MOIL, state owned and India's largest manganese ore producer had raised offers by 9-10%
