Malaysia: OM Holdings’ manganese alloys output declines over 10% q-o-q in Q1CY’24

  • OM Holdings, Sarawak, a Malaysia-based ferro alloys manufacturer, recorded manganese alloys output at 75,056 t in Q1CY’24, down -11% q-o-q.
  • Ferro silicon production increased 22% q-o-q to 49,561 t
  • Sales volumes inched up by 7% for ferro silicon and decreased sharply by 40% for manganese alloys. This slowdown was caused by the clearing of inventory which resulted in a higher than usual sales figures in Q4CY’23.
