Malaysia: OM holdings’ ferro alloys output declines marginally in Q3CY22

Malaysian ferro alloys major OM Holdings reported a slight decrease q-o-q in production volumes in Q3CY22. Ferro silicon production increased by 6% with no annual maintenance scheduled, resulting in a higher operating rate. Meanwhile, manganese alloys production decreased by 13% due to maintenance shutdown of four furnaces. Sales of ferro silicon fell by 3%, whereas manganese alloys sales volume rose by 4%.
