The Malaysian government has imposed anti-dumping duties on imports of pre-painted, painted or colour-coated steel coils originating or exported from China and Vietnam for a period of five years, effective from 20 Jul’21 to 19 Jul’26. Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry said the decision was made after the completion of an administrative review initiated in Jan’21 based on a petition filed by CSC Steel Sdn Bhd on behalf of the domestic industry. It said products by all manufacturers from China would be levied a 52.1% duty.
