Simhapuri Energy Limited (SEL) is a subsidiary of Hyderabad based Madhucon Group, engaged in operation and distribution of Power from Coal based power projects in India.
Currently SEL, has plans to set up a 1920 MW Coal based Thermal Power Project near Krishnapatnam port, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh. The project will be set up in three phases (phase 1:2X150 MW, phase 2:2X150 MW & phase3: 2X660 MW). At present, phase 1 is under operation and phase 2 & 3 are under expansion and development stage.
In order to meet the operational requirement of its power plants, the company is in immediate need of 9 MnT pa Non-coking coal (3 MnT pa for phase 1 & 2, and 6 MnT pa for phase 3 expansion project). Therefore, the company has invited firms interested in offering equity stakes/ownership interest/joint operation interest outright sale in Coal mines or firms operating Coal mines who are ready to sign long term Coal supply agreement with SEL.
Supply of 3 MnT pa Non-coking coal will commence Jul’15 onwards. After receiving quotations from interested participants, the company is likely to conduct a due diligence study by engaging independent specialist consultants.
