Global market of power sector is always hunting for coal supply for its requirement. There are three Bituminous Coal tender floated by three different companies.
I. Formosa Plastics Group: FPG has issued tender for the second time in this week after closing its first tender. The current tender of Bituminous coal is for delivery in Jan’15. Final offers from bidder are allowed till 17 Nov, 2014.
II. Korea Western Power Co: KOWEPO, Korean power producer has invited tender for supply of Sub-bituminous coal for its Taean Power plant.
As per official document, shipment should be in baby cape size vessels on FOB basis only. Supplied coal should be from single mines. Also, Russian coal suppliers are not allowed to participate in this tender. Deadline for receiving bid is 18 Nov, 2014 at 11.00 hrs.
III. Taiwan Power: Company also known as Taipower is tendering for purchase of Bituminous coal, which will be shipped by panamax size vessels.
The requirement shall be fulfilled for the period from Dec’14-May’15. Deadline for receiving bid from bidders is 24 Nov, 2014 at 17.00 hrs ( as per Taipei time).
