Korean stainless steel mills suspend offers on rising nickel prices

South Korean stainless steel mills have stopped offering in the domestic and overseas markets as nickel prices have increased by $80,000/t. The sharp rise in nickel prices is being attributed to the panic created by the Russia-Ukraine war disrupting supply. However, the LME has stopped trading till 11 Mar’22 amid continued uncertainty.
