South Korea is set to impose anti-dumping duties on Silico Manganese imported from Vietnam, India and Ukraine.
According to the The Korea Herald, The Korea Trade Commission (KTC), after a preliminary examination will recommend the Finance Ministry of Korea to levy punitive duties of 6.08-32.32 % on silico manganese imported from the three countries, for causing damage to the local industry.
The finance ministry is to determine whether to actually impose anti-dumping duties.
The KTC concluded that there is enough evidence of anti-dumping practices and substantial damage on the South Korean industry.
A preliminary decision is expected to be released in July after a three-month examination
South Korea Silico Manganese Imports – Ukraine, Vietnam and India contribute almost entirely to South Korea’s total Silico Manganese imports.
