Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has published two separate tenders for the purchase of steam coal of total quantity 628,000 MT. The first tender is for Hadong Power Plants of quantity 148,000 MT and the second tender is for Samcheok Green Power Plants of quantity 480,000 MT.
The shipments of first and second tenders are scheduled in Apr’17 and Feb-Mar’17 respectively on FOBT basis. Russian mines coal will not be accepted in first tender.
The offer validity is of 3 business days from the date of tender closing. KOSPO can request the bidder to extend validity period of bid, if necessary.

Upon request by KOSPO, bidder shall provide relevant supporting documents including certificates, issued by the relevant authorities of the exporting country, to demonstrate the legal status and current situation of the coal mine from which the coal would be supplied.
The due date of first tender is 16 Feb’17 and second tender is 14 Feb’17.
