Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) has published a tender for purchase of steam coal of quantity 160,000 MT for Korean Genco’s Power Plants.
Each bidder is requested to offer 160,000 MT plus/minus ten(10) percentages at shipping tolerance on FOBT price.

Due date: The due date for bid submission is 17 May’19 at 13:00 hrs (Korean Standard Time). One more tender of KOSPO is scheduled on 16 May,19 of 160,000 MT for Korean Genco’s Power Plants.

Market Overview
Seaborne metallurgical coke prices remain firm starting May. Prices for 64% CSR grade are currently assessed at USD 328/MT, FOB China. Prices are firm as Australian coking coal prices strengthen due to restrictions imposed by the Chinese government on imports in major Chinese ports in February.
