Korea Southern Power (KOSPO) has released two tenders for a cumulative purchase of 308,000 MT Steam coal for its Hadong Thermal Power Plant.
Tender 1: Purchase of 148,000 MT Steam Coal
Prices need to be quoted on FOBT basis only. The delivery of the shipment is scheduled in Jul’15; NCV min 4,700 kcal/kg.
Bidders can quote from minimum 74,000 MT to 148,000 MT or in lots i.e. multiple of 74,000 MT (2 Panamax).
Specification
- Total Moisture (As Received basis): 28% max
- Volatile Matter (Air Dried basis): 24-45% min
- Fixed Carbon (Air Dried basis): 60% max
- Ash (Air Dried basis): 17% max
Note: Indonesian coal suppliers, suppyling coal from South Kalimantan loading at Tabone port are not allowed to participate in this tender.
Tender 2: Purchase of 160,000 MT Steam Coal
Prices need to be quoted on FOBT basis. The delivery of the shipment is scheduled between Jul’15 – Aug’15; NCV min 5,800 kcal/kg.
Bidders can quote from minimum 160,000 MT or in different lots of 80,000 MT (2 Panamax) each one in the month of July & August respectively.

- Total Moisture (As Received basis): 15% max
- Volatile Matter (Air Dried basis): 22-36 % max
- Fixed Carbon (Air Dried basis): 60% max
- Ash (Air Dried basis): 20% max
Note: Suppliers supplying Russian grade coal shall not be allowed to participate in this tender.
Last date for submission of bids for both the tenders is 14 May’15 at 11.00 hrs.
