Korea: KOSEP tenders for Supply of 0.76 MnT Coal

Korea based KOSEP has invited bid for supply of Steam Coal for its power plant.

Korea South-East Power (KOSEP) has invited two different tenders, one is of 280,000 MT and another is of 480,000 MT Steam Coal for its power plant in Korea.

Minimum offered quantity should be 80,000 MT/140,000 MT. Lots should be 80,000 MT  (for shipment from China, Indonesia & Russia) or 140,000MT (for shipment from Australia, Canada, South Africa, USA, Colombia etc.) on both FOBT and CFR basis.

General Conditions

1. Supplier (Coal producer/trader/marketing companies) should have experience of supplying more than 60,000 MT of Coal to 5 Korean Gencos (KOSEP, KOMIPO, KOWEPO, KOSPO & EWP) or Taiwan Power or J-Power or Steel mill companies in Korea in past years

Or, who have supplied more than 120,000 MT Coal to KOSEP since year, 2001.

Or, having experience of contractual performance of more than 1 MnT yearly production or export in power or steel sector.

1. Bidder are requested to quote minimum of 30,000 MT for CFR basis price on Samcheonpo & Yeonghung port

Shipping schedule will be on loading basis

Total Quantity: 760,000 MT

The company can contract on either a FOBT loading port or a CFR discharging port.
