State owned, KIOCL, has recently invited tender for purchase of high grade iron ore fines (Fe 63.5%) from indigenous sources for use of the same in Pellet Plant at Mangalore.
The pellet maker has invited 2 different tender for supply of iron ore fines, with individual quantity of 50,000 MT and 100,000 MT respectively. 50,000 MT fines is required to manufacture pellet that will be used domestically and 100,000 MT iron ore fines will be used to manufacture pellets that are meant for exports.
Specification of required iron ore fines:
Fe : 63.5% guaranteed
Moisture: NA (Iron ore fines should be supplied on DMT basis)
Sulphur: 0.03% max
Phosphorous: 0.045% max
Size: (-) 10mm
Interested bidders should quote thier offers on “Total Delivered Cost” basis. In terms of exports, all the freight charges applicable from railway movement of iron ore fines from mine head/stack yard to the load port, for Export Class has to be paid by the successful bidder.
Last date for submission of bids for both the tenders will be on 11 May’16 at 14.00 hrs.
