Kazakhstan: Coal output rises 3% m-o-m in May

Kazakhstan’s coal production rose modestly to 8.9 mnt in May’22, up by 3% m-o-m and 4% y-o-y, data from the country’s National Bureau of statistics showed. During Jan-May, total output rose to 49 mnt, up 6% y-o-y. The country exports the largest share of its coal production to Russia.
