Karnataka has granted NMDC a 20-year extension on its lease agreement for the Kumaraswamy mines. The mining lease for the iron ore mine is valid up to October 2042. In the previous fiscal, NMDC announced its highest-ever iron ore production and sales. Expected production in FY’23 will be 46-47 mnt as against 42 mnt in FY’22.
