Iron ore E-auction results for various mines which were conducted by MSTC, monitoring committee as on 16th July'13 at Karnataka. The auction received only 11 bids for the purchase of Iron ore.
The total quantity of Iron ore offered in this auction was 7,08,000 MT but they were able to sell only 1,04,000 MT of Iron Ore on account of less buying from the buyers.
Total number of bids were 11, out of which number of bidders & winners were same i.e. 06.
Details of quantity sold:
ROM 88,000 MT
Iron ore fines 16,000 MT
Total quantity of ROM offered for sale was 2,56,000 MT. Out of which only 88,000 MT of Iron ore was sold i.e. only 34%.
Whereas, total quantity of Iron ore fines offered for sale was 4,52 000 MT from which only 3.5% were purchased by the bidders on the floor price.
Janki Corp Ltd purchased most of the ROM sold i.e 68%
