Pellet (Fe63%) prices in Bellary, Karnataka fell by INR 150/t ($2/t) to INR 9,650/t ($115/t) exw on 9 Aug’24 compared to 6 Aug’24. Around 44,000 t of deals were recorded at INR 9,500-9,800/t in this publishing window. Active deals at lower offers and pressure from sponge and finished steel dragged down pellet prices. Sponge iron (P-DRI) prices decreased by INR 350/t w-o-w to INR 25,650/t exw today.
