JSW Steel’s Crude Steel Output Up by 14% Y-o-Y

The Q1 FY17 result of India’s one of the largest steel giants, JSW Steel, are out and the company’s crude steel output is recorded at 3.87 MnT up by 14% against corresponding period of previous year and by 21% against last quarter of Q4 FY16.

The company’s flat products output have been recorded at 2.74 MnT in Q1 FY17 and long products production is at 0.85 MnT. This is up by 9% and 23% for flat and long products respectively against Q1 FY16.

JSW Steel has total installed-production capacity of 18 MnT per annum, with Vijaynagar plant in Karnataka, being largest single steel producing facility in the country with installed capacity of 12 MnT per annum.
