JSW Steel Ltd. reported September crude steel production of 7.33 lakh tons, up by 54 percent from the 4.75 lakh tons over the corresponding month a year-ago.
During the month, Rolled products-flat production was 4.52 lakh tons, up by 15 percent from the 3.92 lakh tons, while Rolled products-long was 1.55 lakh tons, compared with 1.05 lakh tons last September, an increase of 47 percent.
During the second-quarter, the company reported 25 percent growth in crude steel production at 21.72 lakh tons, compared with 17.38 lakh tons in Q2FY112.
The company said it had achieved crude steel production of 43.15 lakh tons in the first half of FY13, registering a growth of 26 percent over he corresponding period of last year.
