India’s largest private sector steel making company – JSW Steel has registered 43% Y-o-Y growth in its crude steel production in Q3 FY17.
The company in its today’s press release declared that its crude steel production has moved up to 3.86 MnT in Q3 FY17, up 43% against the same period last fiscal. The steel maker’s crude steel output in Q3 FY16 was recorded at 2.70 MnT.
However on quarterly premises, company’s crude steel output declined by 3% as its crude steel output stood at 3.98 MnT in Q2 FY17.
Company’s flat steel production grew 51% Y-o-Y and long steel production increased 18% Y-o-Y in Q3 FY17.

JSW Steel’s crude steel production recorded at 11.7 MnT in Apr-Dec’16 – In first nine months of this fiscal (i.e. Apr’16-Dec’16) JSW Steel’s crude steel output was recorded at 11.7 MnT, up 25% Y-o-Y. The company plans to achieve crude steel production of 15.75 MnT in FY17, up 25% against its last year’s achieved crude steel output.
So far in this fiscal (till Dec’16), company’s flat steel production rose 22% Y-o-Y to 8.43 MnT and its long steel production increased by 22% Y-o-Y to 2.39 MnT.
