JSW: Flat Steel Output Up; Long Steel Production Down in October

Company’s flat steel output shown rise of 4% M-o-M ,however long steel production declined by 6% in Oct’17.

JSW Steel – India’s largest steel maker has recorded marginal increase of 1% in its crude steel output on yearly premises. Company’s crude steel production has moved up by 1% in Oct’17 to 1.343 MnT against 1.335 MnT in Oct’16.However on monthly basis also it showed the minute increase of nearly 1% against 1.325 MnT in Sep’17.

Flat steel production witness the rise of 2% Y-o-Y in Oct’17 – JSW Steel’s flat steel output was recorded at 0.977 MnT in Oct’17 up by 2% on yearly basis as compared to 0.958 MnT Oct’16. However on monthly basis, company’s flat steel output has increased by 4% against 0.937 MnT in Sep’17.

Long steel output decline significantly by 8% Y-o-Y basis – In the month of Oct’17 JSW Steel’s long steel production stood at 0.258 MnT in Oct’17 down by 8% in comparison to 0.279 MnT in Oct’16. However on monthly basis, JSW Steel’s long steel output reported decline by 6% against 0.275 MnT in Sep’17.
