JSW Steel, India’s one of the largest steel manufacturer recorded its crude steel production of 12.03 lakh tonnes for the month of April 2016. This is up by 19% against the corresponding month of previous year.
In the month of Mar’ 16, company achieved its highest ever crude steel production at 1.27 MnT while in Feb’16 the same was 1.01 MnT up by 7% Y-o-Y basis.
The key reason for continuous increase in JSW’s crude steel production is the resumption of production at Vijaynagar, Dolvi and Salem plants, which were shut down during October-December 2015.
During Jan-Mar’16, company crude steel production registered a growth of 5% at 3.20 MnT over corresponding quarter of previous year and 19% growth over Q3 2015-16.
In financial year 2015-16, the company registered crude steel production of 12.56 MnT.
