Company’s crude steel production stood at 0.88 MnT in Q2 FY17 compared to 0.8 MnT in Q1 FY17. Thus registering 10% quarterly growth.
Jindal Steel & Power has registered crude steel production of 0.88 MnT in Q2 FY17. Standalone crude steel production has gone up by 4% Y-o-Y as in Q2 FY16 the steel maker’s crude steel production was recorded at 0.85 MnT.
On quarterly basis, company’s crude steel production has increased by 10% as in Q1 FY17 the crude steel production was at 0.8 MnT.
JSPL’s Steel sales up 4% Y-o-Y in Q2 FY 17
Standalone steel sales in Q2 FY17 was recorded at 0.81 MnT in Q2 FY17, up by 4% Y-o-Y. In Q2 FY16, company’s steel sales was at 0.78 MnT.
Steel maker’s standalone steel sales remained predominantly stable on quarterly premises. In Q1 FY 17, company’s steel sales were recorded at 0.8 MnT.
The quarterly performance report states that – as a consequence of tepid demand during monsoon period and maintenance/overhaul shutdowns of DRI plants in Angul, JSPL’s standalone steel business witnessed a subdued performance in last quarter (i.e. Q2 FY17).

The cold trials for the blast furnace in Angul should commence during Q4 FY17.
