JSPL’s Crude Steel Output Scaled up 9% Q-o-Q in Q3 FY18

Company’s crude steel production stood at 0.97 MnT in Q3 FY18 compared to 0.89 MnT in Q2 FY18. Thus registering growth of 9% on Q-o-Q basis.

Jindal Steel & Power has registered standalone crude steel production of 0.97 MnT in Q3 FY18 which is higher by 9% as compared to previous quarter.In Q2FY18 the same stood at 0.89 MnT.

However on yearly basis company’s standalone crude steel production moved up significantly by 15% against 0.84 MnT in Q3 FY17.

JSPL’s Steel sales increased by 13% Q-o-Q basis in Q3 FY18 – Standalone steel sales is recorded at 0.94 MnT in Q3 FY18, increased by 13% Q-o-Q basis. In Q2 FY18 company’s steel sales stood at 0.83 MnT. On Y-o-Y basis company’s standalone steel sales performance scaled up by 12% in Q3 FY18 as compared to 0.84 MnT in Q3FY17.

JSPL pellet production increased 4% Y-o-Y – JSPL’s consolidated pellet production stood at 1.76 MnT in Q3 FY18, up by 4% Y-o-Y.

Company’s EBITDA increased by 17% Y-o-Y in Q3FY18– Company’s EBITDA registered an increase of 17% Y-o-Y basis to INR 921 Crore against Q3FY18 which was INR 784 crores then.

JSPL Expansion Plans – Q3 FY18 marked the completion of Blast oxygen furnace at Angul plant which has paved company’s way to quadrupling steel production.
