Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), is one of the India’s leading steel producer has recorded highest ever quarterly crude steel output during first quarter of FY’19 (Apr-Jun’18).
Indian Operations:
JSPL’s crude steel output stood at 1.23 MnT during Apr-Jun’18; surged by 37% Y-o-Y as against 0.90 MnT Apr-Jun’17. However, on quarterly basis company’s steel production was slightly down by 2% compared to 1.26 MnT in Q4 FY’18 (Jan-Mar’18).
Similarly, company’s domestic sales has shown significant growth of 46% to 1.18 MnT during Apr-Jun’18 as compared to previous fiscal year at 0.81 MnT Apr-Jun’17. Meanwhile on Q-o-Q basis, its sales was flattish, as per data maintained by SteelMint.
Global Operation:
Jindal shadeed (Oman) is a subsidiary of Jindal Steel & Power Limited which has also reported its best ever crude steel and finished steel production during Apr-Jun’18.
The company claim that its 1.5 MnT of Bar Mill in Oman – the largest in the world set a new world record of highest single day production of over 5,000 MT by any Bar Mill world over.
As per JSPL’s previous conference call “Oman plant is number one in rebar sales and positioning in number two in UAE”.
Mr. NA Ansari, CEO-Steel Business, JSPL said. “We are confident of further accelerating the growth momentum both in production as well as sales, in the forthcoming quarters of FY18-19 as the best ever year in JSPL’s history, he added.
