Barbil based pellet maker, Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) has raised pellet offers by INR 100/MT. Current offers for Fe 63% pellets are at INR 3,200/MT (loaded to wagons). Prior to this price change pellet offers were at INR 3,100/MT (loaded to wagons).
However market sources shared that there is not much buying interest seen at these levels. The pellet maker sold considerable quantity of pellets last month. As per railway movement data maintained with SteelMint, JSPL dispatched 28 pellet rakes last month against 20 rakes in Feb’16.
To the contrary, another Barbil based pellet maker-Arya Iron & Steel has reduced offers by INR 200/MT. Current offers are at INR 3,000/MT (loaded to wagons).
