The largest pellet exporter named Jindal Power & Steel Limited (JSPL), has offered around 52,000 MT high grade (Fe 64%) pellets export tender to China.
It is to be noted that Indian pellet exports are gaining momentum owing to increase in pellet demand from China. India’s key exporters namely JSPL, Essar Steel etc are exporting pellets to China through the tendering procedure.

Commodity: Iron ore pellets (Fe 64%)
Quantity: 52,000 MT (+/-10%)
Laycan: 05 Nov’16 -15 Nov’16
Last date of shipment: 26 Nov’16
Load Port: Paradip/Dhamra/Gangavaram Port
Buyer who intend to take the shipment to locations other than China, shall have to offer on CFR FO, One Main Port, China basis. Freight differential shall be discussed and mutually agreed after the bidding process.

Bidding Process & Selection
Step 1: Interested parties shall submit their bids with the time line i.e. till 14:00 hrs
Step 2: Top 5 bidders shall be selected and informed about the higher bid (by 15:00 hrs on 26 Oct’16)
Step 3: Top 5 bidders shall be given one more opportunity to revise their bid ( by 16: 00 hrs on 26 Oct’16)
Step 4: If any bidders bid higher than the highest bid in Step 3, then the highest bidder in step 2 shall be rejected
Step 5: Highest bidder in Step 3 or Step 4 (if applicable) shall be intimated and confirmed about the tender
