JSL Global, a subsidiary of Jindal Stainless Ltd., has initiated commercial operations at its 2-line RKEF smelter in Weda Bay, Indonesia, a joint venture with Eternal Tsingshan Group. The facility, with a capacity of 28,000 t/annum, will produce nickel pig iron and nickel matte for stainless steel and EV battery markets. This will strengthen JSL Global’s nickel supply, supporting sustainable growth in critical industries.
