Japan’s leading EAF mill- Tokyo Steel has lowered its scrap purchase price for the Utsunomiya plant by JPY 1,000/t ($10), effective from tomorrow (14th Jan’21). The company would pay a price of JPY 42,000/t ($405) for H2-scrap delivered at the Utsunomiya plant. However, prices have remained unchanged for the other four works including Tahara plant.
