The world’s third largest steelmaker Japan has recorded 6% m-o-m growth in total export volumes of pipes and tubes at 95,388 t in Apr ’21 compared to 89,693 t in Mar ’21, as per customs data. Meanwhile, on an annual basis, exports registered a 1.5% growth against 93,946 t in the year-ago period, as SteelMint deduced from customs data. However, total imports stood at 13,537 t in Apr ’21, down 21% m-o-m, while the same edged down by 0.60% to 13,619 t in the year-ago period.
