Japan’s Nippon Steel Stainless to raise stainless steel pipe prices amid cost pressure

Nippon Steel Stainless Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, led by President Naoki Konno, will increase prices of welded stainless steel pipes used in construction and automotive sectors by 10% from June. This marks the first hike in four months, attributed to rising procurement, labour, and logistics costs due to the 2024 issue. The company aims to maintain profitability and supply stability amidst potential future cost escalation.
