In Feb’24, Japan’s ferrous scrap exports surged by 36% from 0.44 mnt to 0.60 mnt compared to Jan’24. Annually, export volumes rose by 18% from 0.51 mnt in Feb’23. Vietnam and South Korea were the top importers at 0.26 mnt and 0.16 mnt, with Taiwan and Bangladesh following at 0.05 mnt and 0.04 mnt in Feb’24.
