Japan’s crude steel production up 33% y-o-y in Jul’21

Japan’s crude steel production was recorded at 8.01 mn t in Jul’21, according to latest data from the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF). Production volumes, on a y-o-y basis, increased by 32.5% but fell marginally by 1.3% compared to Jun’21. Meanwhile, the country’s pig iron production stood at 5.9 mn t in Jul’21.
