According to the Japan’s latest custom data, country’s crude steel output for Sep’16 is recorded at 8.4 MnT, slipped by 3.4% against 8.7 MnT in Sep’15.
Similarly, on M-o-M basis, Japan’s crude steel output has dropped significantly by 5.6% to 8.4 MnT in Sep’16 against previous month’s output of 8.88 MnT in Aug’16.
In first nine months of 2016 (from Jan-Sep), Japan’s crude steel production stands at 78.16 MnT, down by 1.2% against 79.17 MnT in corresponding period of previous year.
Flat Products Output
Japan’s HRC production moved down by 8% M-o-M basis and stood at 3.6 MnT in Sep’16 , while its CRC output also fell by 6.2% on monthly basis and is recorded at 1.5 MnT. HR Plates production in Japan decline by 11% and stood at 0.8 MnT.
From Jan’16 to Sep’16, country’s HRC production stands at 33.35 MnT, CRC output is at 13.84 MnT and plates production is recorded at 7.63 MnT
