Major Japanese aluminium ingots producers have offered a 47-71% increase in aluminum premiums for April-June’23 period for the country, with prices ranging from $125-$145 as against $85/t premium for Jan-Mar’23 shipments. The increase is in response to rising premiums outside Japan, as per Japan Metal Daily. However, the supply and demand environment remain weak, and port inventories are still high.
