The semi-finished steel exports of Japan have registered a rise of 34.2% in May’20 to reach 544,515 t from 405,740 t in Apr’20. South Korea, China, and Taiwan were reported to be the major importers. The rise in imports was primarily due to the increased buying from China and South Korea, marking a growth of 348.6% and 113.7% respectively.
