Japan’s leading EAF mill – Tokyo Steel has declared another scrap purchase price cut today for the Utsunomiya plant at JPY 2,000/t ($19). The company would now pay a price of JPY 38,000/t ($366) for H2-scrap delivered at Utsunomiya plant. However, prices remain unchanged for the other four works. Notably, the scrap purchase price for Utsunomiya has hit one-month low in today’s revision.
