Japan’s Tokyo Steel adjusted scrap procurement prices for the first time this month (previous revision on 20 Dec’24). Prices remained steady except for Nagoya and Utsunomiya, where tags dropped JPY 500/t ($3/t) and JPY 1,000/t ($6/t), respectively. Post-revision, H2 stands at:
- Okayama: JPY 41,500/t ($267/t)
- Tahara: JPY 41,000/t ($264/t)
- Kansai, Kyushu: JPY 40,500/t ($261/t)
- Utsunomiya, Takamatsu: JPY 40,000/t ($258/t)
- Nagoya: JPY 39,500/t ($254/t)
