Japan: Tokyo Steel trims scrap buy prices again

Japan’s leading steel producer, Tokyo Steel, has lowered scrap purchase bids by JPY 500/t ($4) for its Tahara steelworks from 5 Nov’21.
Post-revision, the company’s bid price for H2 scrap stands at JPY 57,000/t ($499) for the Tahara works, while prices for the other plants remain unchanged, as per reports.
Notably, this is the company’s third price revision after the $4/t cut earlier this week.
