Tokyo Steel has announced a price hike for domestic ferrous scrap by JPY 1,000/t ($6/t), effective 10 May’24. Consequently, the new price for H2 scrap at the Utsunomiya plant stands at JPY 51,500/t ($330/t), while prices at Tahara and Okayama remain unchanged at JPY 51,500/t ($330/t). This adjustment aligns with the outcome of the Kanto tender, which concluded today.
