Japanese EAF-based Tokyo Steel’s Kyushu Plant has announced a price reduction in domestic ferrous scrap by JPY 500/t ($3/t) for all grades effective 20 Jul’24. Consequently, the new price of ferrous scrap stood at JPY 50,000/t ($318/t). Additionally, Tokyo Steel reduced the purchase prices of H2 scrap by JPY 500/t ($3/t) at its Tahara, Utsunomiya, and Okayama plants on 13 Jul’24.
