Japan: Tokyo Steel slashes scrap buy prices by $3/t

Japan’s major EAF steelmaker, Tokyo Steel, has trimmed scrap buy prices for the second time this month.
The company slashed bid prices for H2 scrap by JPY 500/t ($3/t) for two of its plants, effective 8 Nov.
Post-revision, prices of H2 scrap stand at JPY 49,000/t ($332/t) delivered to the Okayama and Kyushu plants while prices for other plants remained unchanged.
