Japan’s Tokyo Steel manufacturing Co. ltd has kept the prices firm for steel products for Feb ’21 deliveries, making sure the previous price hikes get absorbed in the trade segment. The effective prices continue to hover at JPY 93,000/t ($897) for H-shaped beam, and JPY 79,000/t ($762) for HRC. The public and private projects witnessed increased activities pushing up domestic consumption, however supply constraints prevailed due to slower ramp-up in production.
