Japan: Tokyo Steel reduces scrap purchase prices by $4/t across all plants

Tokyo Steel has announced its seventh scrap purchase price revision for Apr’25, effective 26 Apr. In this latest round, Tokyo Steel cut prices by JPY 500/t ($4/t) across all plants. The total price cut in April stands at up to JPY 4,500/t ($31/t).

Revised prices
• Tahara: JPY 41,500/t ($289/t)
• Okayama, Kansai, Kyushu: JPY 41,000/t ($286/t)
• Nagoya, Utsunomiya: JPY 40,500/t ($283/t)
• Takamatsu: JPY 39,000/t ($272/t)
