Japan: Tokyo Steel raises scrap purchase prices by up to JPY 1,000/t ($7/t) across plants



Tokyo Steel has revised scrap purchase prices for the fourth time this month, effective 21 Oct’25, by up to JPY 1,000/t ($7/t) for Tahara, Nagoya, Kansai, Takamatsu, Utsunomiya and Tokyo Bay facilities and by JPY 500/t for Okayama. H2 scrap prices at these plants were at:

• Tahara, Kyushu, Okayama, Tokyo Bay: JPY 43,000/t ($282/t).
• Nagoya: JPY 42,500/t ($279/t).
• Kansai, Utsunomiya: JPY 42,000/t ($276/t).
