Tokyo Steel adjusted scrap procurement prices for the first time this month, effective 14 Feb’25. Prices increased at the Okayama, Kansai, and Kyushu plants by JPY 1,000/t ($7/t), JPY 500/t ($3/t), and JPY 1,500/t ($10/t). Post-revision, H2 prices were:
- Okayama, Kyushu: JPY 42,000/t ($273/t)
- Kansai: JPY 41,000/t ($266/t)
- Tahara: JPY 40,500/t ($263/t)
- Utsunomiya: JPY 40,000/t ($260/t)
- Takamatsu: JPY 39,500/t ($257/t)
- Nagoya: JPY 39,000/t ($253/t)
