- Tokyo Steel has announced a hike in scrap purchase prices for the second time in Oct’21 today.
- The steelmaker has raised bids by JPY 1,000-2000/t ($9-18) for all its plants.
- Post-revision, the company’s bid price for H2 scrap will stand at JPY 54,000/t ($486) for the Tahara, Okayama and Kyushu steelworks and JPY 51,000/t ($459) for the Utsunomiya and Takamatsu plants.
