Japan: Tokyo Steel raises scrap buy price by $9/t, except Utsunomiya works

Tokyo Steel has increased its scrap purchase price for the second time this week.
The company has raised bids by JPY 1,000/t ($9) for four of its steelworks effective from 18 Sep. However, prices for the Utsonumiya works remain unchanged.
Post-revision, the company’s bid price for H2 scrap will be JPY 49,000/t ($446) for the Tahara steelworks.
